About

The College has a seperate Training and Placement Cell, which invites various companies in all branches of Engineering. It has good recognition of providing successful engineers after completion of their degree. The shortlist of students is prepared based on their merit and the requirement of particular industry. The same list is sent to the concerned industries for their review and further shortlisted candidates are tested and interviewed in the campus. Following are the assignments given to the cell:

Guest Lectures:

SRINIVASA campus academic sources and resources are rich in every respect. Yet to reinforce the classroom knowledge and skills among the students, special guest lectures and presentations are delivered to them by the most eminent scholars both from the academic and industrial sectors.

Personality Development & Motivation:

Development is a process. It is continuous. To facilitate the unparalleled personal development and excellence, one needs motivation and inspiration. The SRINIVASA campus is sacred spots for personality development of the students.The students have an in-house Counseling Psychologist available to them around the clock!

Skills Training:

Training prepares the students towards the professional work culture in the SRINIVASA campus. To sharpen their skills special training schedules are planned and executed. Technical skills and soft skills prepare the students for life skills. Life Skills Education is unique in the SRINIVASA philosophy.

Seminars and Workshops:

Since global professionalism is the cardinal principle in the SRINIVASA vision,right from the very early stages of learning the SRINIVASA students are trained and assisted to become versatile. They are guided to participate in various seminars and workshops to develop ease in presentations.

Industrial Visits:

Owing to the ever growing scientific and technological advancements, the industry has become very dynamic and therefore the theoretical aspects alone are not going to assist the passing out aspirants. To bridge these gaps the SRINIVASA organize Industrial Visits to provide hands-on-experience to the students and prepare them for being abreast of all skills.

Objectives

  • Identification of student's potential and mapping their competencies.
  • Cataloguing the database of students (their specialization, interest and academic performance).
  • Providing interlink for the enthusiastic talent ready to explore new horizons along side the growing requirement of the corporate world.
  • Working as a platform for moulding the students according to the requirements of the corporate world.
  • Designing a web-based job-search portal Carrying out career counseling for students.

Guide Lines For Placements

We believe in order and system in every programme undertaken. In that line it has specified certain guidelines to be followed for final placement.

 

  • Offers to students should be made only through the Placement cell.
  • Details regarding the Organizations final placement requirement and he registration form should reach the Placement cell as early as possible. These details are required to help in scheduling the entire placement process for convenience of all involved.
  • On receipt of the list of job opportunities along with the relevant company literature, the Placement office will collect the Bio-data of interested candidates and forward them the organizations.
  • The selection process will be held in the college campus on mutually convenient date during the placement months. On completion of the selection procedure, organizations are required to announce the list of selected candidates on the same day. Delay to announcement may lead to the selected candidates being placed else where.
  • Organizations are requested to specify the terms and conditions discussed and agreed upon during the interviews along with the list of selected students to the Placement Officer.
  • Appointment Letters to the selected candidates should be sent by the organization through the placement officer at the earliest. Duplicate copy of appointment letters duly signed and accepted will be returned to the organization at the earliest.
  • We will take the responsibility for providing the required facilities for Pre-Placement Talk, Group Discussions and Interviews in the campus and will extend hospitality to the visiting executives.

 

To enhance the campus placements an MOU has been made up with NIIT for an unique program called NIIT CAREER. The highlights of this program are Assessment of the student Training the student in his weak areas Providing employment opportunitiesin India and abroad. Training and Placement Cell in the SRINIVASA plays a vital role and is becoming a key department of the institute. As there are large numbers of Engineering and Management colleges coming up in India, the competition for employment is increasing every day and the job of placement is becoming a challenging one.A full pledged placement cell is functioning in our college with a full time placement officer.

Our Training and Placement Office is performing the following activities:

 

  • Arranging in plant training for students.
  • Inviting various organization for campus recruitment.
  • Training to suit various needs of industry

 

For placement a large number of prospective employers are contacted during the year and efforts are made to invite those companies to visit our college and to conduct campus recruitmens.The objective of the T&P Cell is to look for a 100% employment of all the students therefore it follows policy of 'One Person One job'. A candidate selected for one job is further restricted to other recruitment.The Cell is assited by student placement coordinators who lead a team of placement representatives from various courses of study. The Training & placement Cell ensures and takes care to provide the best arrangements and hospitality for the visiting companie's officials.

The Training & Placement Cell provides all audio visual facilities for PowerPoint Presentations, written test, group discussion and interviews. It plays a vital key role in counseling and guiding the students of the University for their successful career Placement which is a crucial interface between the stages of completion of academic program of the students and their entry into the suitable employment. This cell also coordinates various activities related to the career of the students along with the industrial training. The computerization of the entire activities of the placement Cell is in progress and this facility will be available to the organizations soon for easy and faster communication.

In addition to campus placements the T & P section organizes programs mock interviews, group discussions, case studies, etc. It also organizes the program like:

Summer Traning

Each student has to undertake summer training in companies of repute for a duration of 6-8 weeks, as part of course curriculum. students are required to work on a project given to them either by the sponsering organisation or selected by students themselves. The project report/thesis is an intensive learning exercise for students to apply particular theoretical concepts into practical situations as experienced in the industrial establishments. Final placement of students is a strategic activity for SRINIVASA and all the processes are aligned for the same. Keeping in mind the existing and expected job opportunities, we plan to provide placement services to our participants.For effective placements, we establish close ties with the companies, which are in the process of providing jobs to our students. The existing placement cell keeps intensive interface with leading corporate/brokers /consultants.

PPT

Pre_Placement Talk(PPT)

PPT provides an opportunity to the recruiting company and the students to interact with each other. The presentation by the company regarding the history, growth potential, future opportunities, and jobs available (content, compensation package, location, etc.) PPT also provides a company with opportunity to recruit the first year students for summer training assignments.

Final Placement

Campus recruitment drives are undertaken by inviting companies from the private, public and government sectors to place Institute's students at entry level managerial positions. Placement assistance is provided industry sector-wise as well as by functional area wise. For this purpose, the institute has an active placement cell which keeps continuous interaction with industry, business houses, multinationals and the public sector undertaking with a view to provide appropriate and timely career opportunities to students.
