Dr. M. Sreenivasa Kumar earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from NBKR Institute of Science. & Technology, Vidyanagar, Nellore Dist. in 1987 and Master’s Degree in Design of Machines and Mechanisms from Regional Engineering College, Nagpur (now Viswesvaraya National Institute of Technology- VNIT) in 1997.  He has obtained his Ph.D. from University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol, UK, in the field of Machine Vision.

Currently he is working as a Principal of Srinivasa Institute of Engineeing and Technology (Autonomous), Amalapiram AP,   He has vast experience of over 33 years in Teaching, Training, Research and Consultancy and has been Principal of reputed institutions in A.P.

His areas of interest include Computer vision, Image processing, CAD/CAM, Neural networks, Digital manufacturing, Lean manufacturing system, and Intelligent systems robotics and Artificial intelligence.

He has published and presented over 15 Technical papers in National and International Journals / Conferences.  The number of corporate training programmes / Faculty Development Programmes / Technical talks conducted by him is more than 50.  He has guided more than 30 Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate students for their projects.

• He has Received “Rashtriya Vidya Saraswati Puraskar” for outstanding achievements in chosen field of activity from International Institute of Education and Management, New Delhi in 2008.
• His name and profile is listed in Marquis “Who’s Who in the World” in the Edition 2009.
• “National Award for Teaching excellence in Mechanical Engineering” from INDUS foundation – Indo American summit at Hyderabad in 2013 organized AP Govt.; FAPCCI and HMTV. AP Higih Court Judge Justice G. Raghu Ram has given the award in the presence of Shri Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Minister for IT and Communication, AP Govt.;
• University Best Teacher Award for 2014-15 from Prof. G. Tulasi Ramdas, Vice – Chancellor, JNT University Kakinada. 
• He received “Best Academic Administrator Award” from IJIEMR ELSEVIER SSRN (Social Science Research Network) Award 2020 on 20^th December 2020, Vijayawada.
• He received “Bhishma Acharya Award” (2021-22) by APSCHE Chairman Prof K Hema Chandra Reddy, AU Vice-Chancellor PVGD Prasada Reddy, AICTE Chief Coordinating officer Dr.Buddha Chandra Sekhar.
• He received “Best Teacher Award” from Palnadu District Collector for the year September 2022.
• He also received “Best Teacher Award” from APSCHE Vice-Chairman, Prof K.Ram Mohan Rao conducted by Society for Learning Technologies (SOLET) on 3^rd September, 2023 at Vijayawada.

The number of corporate training programmes / Faculty development programmes / Technical talks conducted by him is more than 50.  He has conducted more than 20 Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps (EAP) and a large number of training programmes for students and faculty covering – Goal setting, Time Management skills, Attitude, Personality Development, Presentation Skills, Team building / Leadership, Interpersonal Skills, Motivation, Career development, Some thoughts on effective teaching, first days in your job, Team work and Motivation.

Presently supervising one research scholar pursuing doctoral program under JNTUK, Kakinada.

He is striving hard to translate the Vision of the institution to reach acme in academic excellence. He is a visionary person who believes “Hard work is the key to success". He has a distinctive personality with simplicity, righteousness, straightforwardness, uncompromising attitude, individual discipline, efficient administration with values, commitment to human relations and human values.

Dr. M .S. Kumar is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers (FIE), Life Member of ISTE, and Member of CSI.
